Drawing from Rudolf Arnheim’s Visual Thinking and the Feldenkrais Method, this experiential workshop explores the relationship between perception, thought, and movement.
Through Awareness Through Movement, we’ll investigate how sensing and moving are already forms of thinking—how we continually interpret, compare, differentiate, organize, and make meaning through our sensory experience.
Rather than treating thinking as something that happens separately from the body, Visual Thinking explores how changes in perception and movement can change the way we understand ourselves, organize experience, and relate to the world around us.
When we move through life focused on only results, seldom paying attention to how we sense ourselves, living becomes habitual.
In this 1 hour somatic movement exploration hosted by BICA SD you will discover everything you do can always become new.
By experiencing gentle movements (Feldenkrais Method) your brain can work on your behalf to find new possibilities of sensing, feeling, moving and thinking!
